Are You Looking for Someone to Have Sex With You?
It’s been a while since I sat down to write a short story like this. I was on my way to church yesterday and I saw a beautiful young lady that reminded me of the lady I counseled few years ago. That was why I had to sit down before my computer today and write what actually happened that day.
This was a conversation between myself and Yemisi.
I was in Yemisi’s house to see her Mum and while her Mum went upstairs to get a document, Yemisi walked into the living room, preparing to leave the house.
"Oh Sis, you're still around," she said walking up to me.
I took a good look at her from head to toe. Skimpy dressing, showing, boobs almost popping out of position, in fact: in one word.... indecently dressed. I was speechless.
Then out of lack of spiritual oxygen upon my spirit-man, I opened my mouth and said something like, “Wow, Yemisi, you’re really looking sexy!!”
“Thank you, ma.” She said looking at her hips.
“Are you
going out already?”
“Yes, Sis. I’m going to see a friend. We plan to go to the mall together.”
"Really? And I was hoping to have 10 minutes talk with you?”
“Okay, my friend can still wait 10 minutes.”
She sat beside me.
“You really look different today. The way you dressed, you look very sexy.”
Smiling, appreciatively, she said, “Thank you very much.”
“Let me guess, Yemisi, you love that compliment, right?”
“It’s a good compliment so yes, I love it.”
“Then tell me, do you need someone to have sex with you?”
“What? Sister!!! No.”
“Okay, let me rephrase that. Do you feel like having sex with someone?”
“What, Sis, why this question?”
“If you don’t need someone to have sex with you, then, why do you dress ‘sexy’?”
“There’s nothing wrong with what I’m wearing, Sis. It makes me feel comfortable and besides I just want to…”
I cut in, “…you just want to look cool and in the process you have to ‘dress to kill’, right?"
I watched as Yemisi nodded in agreement. "Well, if that's the way you want to put it, ma."
“That’s why you love it when I said you look ‘sexy’,, but little did you know that calling a girl ‘sexy’ is a very bad and insulting compliment, but girls don’t really know this because you don’t know where the word ‘sexy’ comes from.”
“Really,” Yemisi said, “But I’ve heard some guys use it almost every time on campus and girls don't see it as big deal,”
“Yes, they won't, but ask them where the word ‘sexy’ was first used and they won't have an idea. So, hear it from me today. The word sexy was a slag that prostitutes use to compliment themselves at the hotel. They call themselves ‘sexy’ when they ‘dress to kill’ and on their way to stand beside the road. Their intention of dressing ‘sexy’ is to arouse men. That’s all. They ‘dress to kill’ to catch the attention of guys who are looking for a one-night stand on a Friday night. They dress this way because they want someone to have sex with them and pay them. So they do everything possible to ‘look sexy’ and attractive and mind you they are not just doing it for just one person, but to the entire men in town!”
“I’ve never thought about it that way,”
“I thought as much. So when a guy stopped by in his car, they complement her by saying ‘you’re looking sexy, babe’. That’s where men began to use the word ‘sexy’. These prostitutes expose their breasts, if not all, they wear things that will reveal their endowed curves – and even private parts of their body – just to “look sexy” and attractive to men because they have to look attractive. They have to look sexy so that these guys will not rest until they have a carnal knowledge of them, for money. So, let me ask you again, Yemisi, are you really sure you’re not trying to look that way so that you will be attractive to guys for admiration?”
Yemisi looked down, and was speechless.
I continued, "Yemisi, a girl cannot be speaking like Amber Rose, dress like Nicki Minaj, behave like Kim Kardashian and then expect to end up like Michelle Obama… NEVER! You cannot even attract a man like Barack Obama. Do I need to tell you the type of guys you’ll attract? Just take a look at these names I mentioned and you’ll know what type of guy you’ll end up with if you continue to dress like this. Guys that will say something like, “you are hot,” and after turning you into a babymama, they dump you? They feel that you cannot stay with “one man” going by the way you dress! In fact, it will be very difficult to convince any guy that you don’t go to club and trust me even a guy that goes to club every Friday will never want to marry a girl that club. They are smarter nowadays because they want a woman that will stay at home and cook while they club.”
“But Sis, why does it feel so good when guys complement us in such manner?”
I smiled, “you know that tingly little feeling you get when someone complement you... that's common sense leaving your mortal body. So, let me come back home because of the 10 minutes,” I paused and took a very good look at her. “As you dress like this, going to the mall, the probability of you bringing a decent man home is very slim while the probability of making a man of God fall is very high. So, my beloved sister, I’m done now. You can go.”
“Thank you, Sis.” Yemisi said and began to walk away. Instead of her to be walking towards the door, Yemisi was walking back inside.
Seeing that Yemisi was going back inside, I asked, “But, I thought you’re in a hurry to join your friend?”
“Hmnn, yes, but I need to change into something nice, first.”
In that moment, my spirit blessed that young girl for taking heed immediately. Any other girl will still go ahead and go to the shopping mall, but guess what, it was that “going to the mall” that my sister met her Mr. Right for the first time and as of the time of this writing, I was preparing to attend the naming ceremony of their first child. He married the most honorable man I’ve ever seen.
Thank you for taking few minutes to read this and please don’t forget to share so that every young girl out there can see this thing from a different angle. It’s worth sharing!
This is the 14th Series I’ve written and please watch out for more on Every Parent Should be Reading This! Every Mother Should be Sharing This! Series. Thanks.
