RCCG Sacrificial Offering: "They Aren't Sorry About The Sacrificial Giving Thing, They Are Only Sorry They Got Caught" - A Reader Reacts

A Blog reader from a popular blog Blasts RCCG For Exploiting Church Goers With Sacrificial Giving. Read her post after the cut...

"When this Redeem sacrificial giving photo went viral and everybody was sharing it up and down and lamenting and screaming, I kept my cool cause I wanted to be sure it was truly from Redeem and if it is then what their response will be before I make my observation about it before some people will say I only like writing negative things when it comes to the church.

As God would have it, they replied with a disclaimer that will get you so confused and if you look well enough you will notice that they
aren't sorry about the sacrificial giving thing, they are only sorry they got caught , they then decided to throw their pastor under the bus and then they subtly stylishly work on people's conscience again by saying " we would like to state that should anyone give towards this project or anyone, let him give out of conviction and not! Compulsion"........ And then wait for it......cause God loves a cheerful giver".

Church using God to manipulate people since 19kridim.

I am not really sure you are a member of RCCG! What's the need for epistle after RCCG has issued a disclaimer?

It's good to give to God because it had rewards. But when your pastor moves up after teaching you to give sacrificially to tell you how much is considered as or what to give as sacrificial giving, then something is wrong. In some churches it's annually encouraged in resent times it encouraged monthly.
The woman who made a meal for the prophet did it once, it wasn't recorded that she had to do it again the following year.
Most Christian gave their lives to church and pastor and not to God.

10% tithe. 50% sacrificial giving, offering, first fruits, harvest, welfare, church building, pastor appreciation day, special vows, special offerings, mission offering etc etc.

Yes God loves a cheerful giver, are all these going to God? After all these giving, when you need help from the church you are told you can't be helped because church policy doesn't support what you need!

Special university establishment offering. Your contribution to this fund went on for years. Now you have 2 children entering the established university, you write for a waiver of some of the fees, the reply: university is not a charity organization. Haaa.

I can go on and on.
Who are you really serving with your time and money?
