Be Inspired With Pastor Sam Adeyemi: Money and Your Marriage
Today, we are featuring Pastor Sam Adeyemi and after reading his short message on Your Money and Your Marriage, I was like 'why have I not thought about this all this while?' and I'm sure you will think the same thing after reading this nice piece.
Seat back and enjoy because the next word you're going to read are that of Pastor Sam Adeyemi.
Money is more than paper and coins; money touches the very foundation of your life and marriage. In Engineering, there are functional and structural cracks. A functional crack starts and ends in the middle of a wall. It can be filled, painted over and will never recur.
In contrast, a structural crack goes right down to the foundation and can only be corrected by going to the foundation of the building. Worldwide, the statistics show that the number one cause of divorce is money. This is because money touches...
on a person’s core values and sense of identity. In describing the forces that seek to control a person’s life, Jesus placed mammon (the god of riches) on an equal pedestal with God. Satan takes on the coloration of money; he seeks to control it and influence our choices. He successfully tempted the first Adam by enticing him to become like God.
He also tempted Christ, the last Adam, to disobey God and worship him instead but he was unsuccessful. The first time worship was mentioned in the Bible was when Abraham went up the mount to offer Isaac up to God (Genesis 22:5). Instead of allowing Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, God provided a ram. Abraham called the place Jehovah Jireh; meaning “in the mount of the Lord, it shall be seen” or “the Lord will provide”. Are you running your life and family on “the Lord will provide” or “I can figure it out”?
Jesus rejected Satan’s proposal and mastered material provision. He transcended the human economic system and fed the crowd without money (John 6). He showed that when you are connected to God’s economy, money should not rule your life. Heaven has resources more powerful than money. In creating your world, depend on God. He has made provision for everything your family will ever need (2 Corinthians 8:9). Bring your family in alignment with God’s principles (Isaiah 48:17). By following divine instructions, our provision is guaranteed (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1: 1-3; Deuteronomy 28: 1-14). Disobedience creates poverty. When you accept Jesus as your Saviour, also make Him Lord over your finances. You cannot obey God and end up poor.

Why am I feeling this is not the full article. There should be more
Money is neither good or evil. Money takes on the personality of the person who poses it. So, money issue in your marriage will be determined by the type of person you marry. Period!
I totally agree with you sir.
