Right or Wrong? Lagos Government Shuts Down 24 Religious Buildings Over Noise Pollution!

I don't even know if I should be happy or sad right now. Honestly, I don't know! Maybe I should be happy because, to be candid, some people can make overbearing noise in the name of worshiping God. On the other hand, maybe I should be sad because the house of God has just being shut down by mere man. Who has the power to shut down the house of God?

Well, Lagos State government says in the last one year it has shut down 24 religious buildings in the state following complaints of noise pollution they produce in areas where they are situated as well as their non adherence to the state guidelines on noise pollution.

Lagos state Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello pictured left above disclosed this at the 2015 ministerial press briefing held in Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja yesterday April 29th

“We received over 1, 000 petitions in the year under review. But we have been able to resolve...
some and some have relocated. We have shut about 24 religious outfits in the last one year because they failed to adhere to the state guidelines on noise pollution.”he said

It's right. If you want to worship your God/god. Do it without causing menace. Why the big big speakers and megaphones.

Wow! This is serious.
They just shut down some peoples means of livelihood. But I wonder why we make so much noise as if our God is deaf.

That's wrong. Mosques pray all through the day every day, especially early morning's and they use horn speakers . So what are you saying? Churches make noise too basically fridays & Sunday's.
