Will He Reconcile or Not? Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Was Given 6 Weeks To Reconcile With His Wife!

I believe 6 weeks is considerable enough for our dear Pastor Chris to show us a sign of faith that all things are possible by reconciling with his wife. I will say it's high time we do what we preach after all the bible says, follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.


Well, it happens that the Family Law in UK gives a chance to discuss finances and other issues (between the couple) before the marriage comes to an end.and this is called decree nissi. So it happens that in his recent visit to UK, it was reported that Pastor Chris...
was served a decree nissi, giving him 6 weeks to reconcile with his wife.

Decree Nissi is a document that says that the court doesn’t see any reason why you can’t divorce. This is usually applied for if one’s husband or wife doesn’t defend a divorce petition. After 6 weeks, the applicant can apply for a ‘decree absolute’ to end the marriage. The decree absolute is the legal document that ends a marriage, and the applicant needs to wait at least 6 weeks after the date of the decree nisi before applying for a decree absolute. This delay

So brethren, there are indications that reconciliation moves are on course between Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife Rev. Anita who have been in the news in the past week over the divorce proceedings the latter filed. The decree, with suit number FD14D01650, was filed on 9th April 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn in London by Anita’s lawyers, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors.

City People Magazine reports that, to have a divorce in the UK, both parties must have a marriage that is legally recognized in the UK, and have a permanent home in England or Wales. Getting a decree nissi, there are 5 grounds: adultery; unreasonable behavior; desertion; 2 years’ separation; and 5 years’ separation.
