I've been studying President Obama's past up close and one of the things that have tried to question is his commitment to Christianity.
A lot of people have sought to claim that President Obama only pretends to believe in Jesus Christ because it will get him votes, especially in the black community. He was a long-time member of the Trinity United Church of Christ on the Southside of Chicago, which is where he...
married his wife Michelle many years ago.
Also, his strong position in support of gay rights has led to Newsweek naming him to be the First Gay President and also created a backlash among many Christians, who feel that the bible clearly says that homosexuality is a sin.
This video, which appears to have been made by a person who doesn’t like the president, takes quotes from a speech that President Obama gave before he was elected. In the speech, Obama is being accused of mocking the bible and making fun of its contents. He mentions passages where the bible says that children should be stoned and that slavery is ok. The president is stating in the speech that the bible has no place in defining the values of a nation or it’s public policy.
Watch the video and give us your thoughts. Did the president go too far with this one, or is the bible a meaningless relic in a modern world?
