Unfortunately, Tolani had no legal representative in court today and so could not enter any plea. Please we need a good lawyer to at least give Tolani a pro bono (or what they call it in Law terms) so that he can be properly represented. At least as the yoruba saying goes, ones child cannot be that bad that we give him to the lion to kill.....
The Magistrate, Bolaji Ojikutu after hearing the charge against Tolani ordered that he be remanded in prison until October 10 when the case will be heard again. The case file, according to court sources, will be sent to the Department of Public Prosecution, DPP, for advice.
The charge against Tolani read in part:
“That you, Tola Ajayi, on 21 July, 2014, at about 4am at Canaan-Land Street, RCCG Camp, Mowe in the Owode Egba Magistrate Court District did unlawfully kill one Charles Ajayi, aged 60, by matcheting him with knife and cutlass and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 316 and punishable under section 319(1) of the criminal code, laws of Ogun State of Nigeria. 2006.”
Tolani, who has long expressed regret over the unfortunate incident, said anger was what made him carry out the abominable act. He said an argument with his father degenerated into a physical attack first from his father before he attacked his father with a kitchen knife and a machete.
I'm sure he has realized his sins and he's willing to have a second chance.

He has killed his only lawyer who can defend him like no other lawyer. Why do you think anyone will want to help him now.

I don't think the boy is sorry for what he did. He did not slap is father for crying out loud. He did not injure him. He did not even just stab him. He butchered him. I don't know if I'm the only one seeing this because Tessy is kind of having a soft spot for this guy by asking for lawyer for him.
Forgive so that your heavenly father will forgive you. If you don't forgive your fellow brother how do you want God to forgive you. Tessy, I'm in support of your request. Pls let Christian lawyer help the boy. He's still young to go to prison.
Who is talking about going to prison. It's death sentence we are talkign about and guess what his mother should prepare to lose two members of the family if she did not rise to support her son on this matter. She's the only ticket to his freedom as am seeing right now.
