Why Catholic Dioeces of Enugh Had Banned Women From Bringing Handbag to Church... Sorry Ladies!

What are we going to call this one now? Will it be safe to say the fear of Boko Haram is the beginning of security? I thought airports are the only places with tight security search, now pastors are screening their members before permitting them to enter the place of worship for a normal Sunday service. How am I going to worship God in truth with all these running in my mind?

The parish priests within the Dioces claim that the Bishop of Enugu Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Calistus Onaga instructed the security measures and made an official statement on the ban of female bags...

Well, don't be too quick to judge them, because due to the increasing number of bombings and attacks on the church by Boko Haram forces, whom many citizens fear have entered the territories of the Southeastern states, the Catholic Dioces of Enugu have stepped up their security measures.
Also, they've banned women from bringing handbags into church. Sorry ladies! It's part of the church's security measure.

Even Pentecostal churches in Enugu have started to use bomb-detecting equipment; it allows them to screen their members' cars as they enter the church ground.

Other churches have built iron barricades to prevent rebels from hitting the church buildings with cars.

According to church leaders, the extra security measures came after two bombs were found in Winners' Chappel in Owerri, Imo, which police were able to diffuse on time.

An unidentified church member told media, “Though, we known that if God did not guard a city, guard men will be guarding in vein; but there is also need for us as human beings to play our own part, while God plays his own part.”

How will the church look like without ladies bringing handbags. There will be plenty of chairs for members to seat naw. Lol

Is that really the solution. For how long do they want to do that? The church should go back n pray on how God wnt things done

Its simple. Let the ladies bring the bags but tell them it will be searched. Period. Then they will decide whether to bring it or not
