You will be touched to see a UK based comedian, Wale Gates, tries to give little sympathy for Tolani, the young man who butchered his father, because he's been in the boy's
shoes and kind of understands what could have pushed him.
Wales shares his own story of the abuse he suffered in the hands of his own father growing up, how he didn't speak to the man for 12 years and how he eventually forgave him. Read all his tweets after the cut...

Very funny, don't we all have difficult fathers? They are not angels u know and they can be very difficult sumtimes but that doesn't mean we should slash their throat with cutlass
Hmnnn... Am trying to see reasons in what Gates is trying to tell us. If you had never witness an abusive father then don't judge the young boy.
No matter what we are Christians killing ur father is not an option. We will always see faults in our parents if we want one the best is to avoid them and that's where I agree with Gates.
If what he's saying is right, why has he killed his father. Let's just pray that God will have mercy on the boy. He's still young to be a victim.
Only God can forgive this young man. he's lost and he need Gods forgiveness to get his life back.
Father have mercy upon them for they know not what they are doing.
We should not encourage hitting back our parents because they are abusive if that's what Gate is trying to say. Where is the place of honoring ur father?
You guys are forgetting the fact that the guy is a drug addict. So before u start putting the blame on his late father pls remember that he probably might be high that night cos only somone that is high can stab n slash throat without regret
I have a very ill temper father and I still love him. Its a matter of understanding him and what he is. If we go about saying this boy could have been abuse by his father then show me a youth who never have misunderstanding with his father. It will always come to that so
And who made you judges?
