Will Pastors Soon Be Forced To Officiate Gay Marriages? This Bishop Says “Yes”

The overseeing Bishop of Resurrection Church, Christ Covenant Coalition in Brooklyn, Bishop Joseph Mattera, wept for the future of Christianity in United States, saying the days when a pastor could stand up and preach the Word of God as it was written, without fear of retribution, are almost gone.

According to him, we may soon see the end of religious...
freedom in the United States, because the gay rights movement appears to be taking precedent over the Constitution.

Bishop Joseph believes that since same-gender marriages have become legal in quite a few states and the re-definition of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was upheld by the Supreme Court, the next step will be to force pastors to perform gay wedding ceremonies as they have been in Denmark.

Mind you, it's not the business of the government or courts to think a performing a gay marriage is big sin against his religious convictions, because they will just force him to do so under the threat of fines, he will face imprisonment.

No doubt he's right. Pastors may not have any choice but to perform gay marriages to gay members of his church

I agree with the Bishop. US and this Obama regime are doing everything to go against the word of God that US was founded upon. First it was legalising abortion now its gay marriage.

If we pastors marries lesbian at the alter of God then pregnant woman who got pregnant out of wedlock must be married at the alter cos she's still better than the gay ones. Why cos even when abortion was legalise she didn't abort. Am just thinking wild

i think i will have to agree with this pastor. That's what the new law on gay marriage will result to. Only God can save us from the outcome.

I think the law permits the pastors and the church to protest against the law. If gay want to get married they should go to the hall or dancing party to do that not in the house of God. The law has no right to force any man of God to commit sin against his believe. It's not fair.

Then the law is unfair if man of God is to be forced to marry gay couples. It's against the will of God and the states has no right to enforce his law on the church if it's agains thtier believe

This is the handiwork of the devil. We must gather and pray heavily against it in Jesus name.
