You will recall that on the 26th of May, 2013 some Nigerian Artistes which include Sound Sultan, Nikki Laoye, Kcee, Solid Star, HarrySong and a couple of other artistes organised a fund raising musical concert for Kelechi in Festac, Lagos.
Few donations have also been received but there is still a long way to go to reach the target required.
To make sure that Kelechi get help as soon as possible, the gospel singer, Nikki Laoye, who recently interviewed Kelechi on her radio show, "Girls Rock With Nikki Laoye" steps in once again to
open up another fundraising channel for Kelechi via her foundation, Angel 4 Life Foundation.
Speaking about this, Nikki pleads to all – "In the spirit of love and sacrifice shared and celebrated in this season, I would like to ask for your help and assistance towards the spinal reconstructive surgery for a dear friend of mine, Kelechi Uhegwu. She is your sister, my sister and every little seed we give, will come together to give her a new chance at life again.
Nothing is too small and may God bless you for your support today".
Kelechi Uhegwu is a graduate of University of Lagos, Nigeria and self employed make-up artiste. She hails from Abia state, Nigeria and is the eldest of three Children.
She was diagnosed with paralytic scoliosis at the age of 1 and she has spent most of her life in and out of hospitals for constant treatment.
Now in her 20s and dealing with other effects of scoliosis such as unlevel shoulders, prominent ribs, uneven hips, a shift of the waist and trunk to the side, and an upper spine twist which has resulted to kyphosis and causes back pain, Kelechi needs corrective surgeries as early as possible.
Severe scoliosis further leads to Lung and heart damage as the rib cage may press against the lungs and heart, making it more difficult to breathe and harder for her heart to pump.
Kelechi needs 15 million naira (£47,000) for two major surgeries in the UK to save her life and enable her walk. So far, different avenues have been created to raise funds for Kelechi. You can send your donations to:

This is very frustrating. Just when we need churches to rise to the occasion and save a life, we just keep raising building and erecting structures. Why can't the church just help people like this instead of spending money on material things
