I hope I will not be sue to court today because why anyone will think marriage will kill a singing career is what am trying to figure out. Just because Princess Anne Inyang, the crooner of 'Aka’anam nkwe', had a failed marriage once doesn't mean she has the right to tell other gospel artistes why or how marriage can ruin their career or that all men are the same.
For your information, after having been out of marriage for years, Princess Anne recently found
love a second time in the arms of Hon. Justice Chudi Nwokorie. The
couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony held in April, in the bride’s
hometown in Akwa-Ibom State and Lagos. Now, you will understand why I think I should be expecting a writ of summon anytime soon.
Alright, let me keep my thought to myself for a minute. I will get back to that later. It happens that in an interview with Jayne Augoye, Princess Anne said emphatically and I quote...
“I enjoyed being a
single woman because...
I had my time to myself. But I thank God I have
someone who understands me, allows me to be myself and keep my maiden
name. He is very caring and persistent. It took me a long time to
finally say yes but he was convinced about me. One thing about gospel
music is that once you are married your career will die down, especially
if you marry a pastor and I was afraid of that.
She went further to pay homage to her second husband...
“This was not unconnected to the fact that I have a passion for music which began at an early stage. My husband had invited my band to perform at his father’s burial and when he was appointed a judge. But we never had any romantic dealings. I just noticed that he had developed some romantic feelings for me last year. Although he is in a reserved profession and I am in a loud one, we complement each other.”
The truth is, I can at least point to a lot of gospel artistes who are married and are still enjoying their music career. Should I mention Deacon Buchi, Samme Okoposu or Nikki Laoye. Please guys, I need more names of gospel singers that are enjoying both their marriage and music career.
So, to all gospel singers out there, am asking one more time, is it true that getting married can affect your music career, negatively or is it just my wishful thinking?

Haaaaa, Tessy, ebi like say u no like this woman at all. Just be expecting police for ur house today. Lol
That's such a serious declaration. She has no right at all to give such advice to upcoming gospel artistes when she's enjoying her second marriage.
Please Tessy, who is Princess Anne oooooooo. we need proper introduction because I no even know her self
It's not fair to crucify the woman unless you have worked in her shoe. I'm sure she's speaking from experience and she could be right you know.
Yes, she's right. If you're not careful as a female singer, your husband might be too demanding and it will derail your music career. espeically, like she said, if you marry a pastor.
she's wrong on all count and Tessy no fear let her judge hubby sue you to court we go all follow u go hear ur case. LWKMD
I don't think I know this woman. I don't even know her track self.
