Pastor
Marvin Louis Sapp, the founder and senior pastor of Lighthouse Full
Life Center Church, Grand Rapids, Michigan is apparently having female
problems again with women who either want to be his special friend or
turn up at his home.
This time a woman apparently showed up at Sapp’s home residence at 7:30 in the morning, which forced him to...
post the following message on his Facebook account.
The 47-year-old Gospel music singer-songwriter, who recorded with the
group “Commissioned” during the 1990s is in the news again after the
incident concerning Teleka Patrick who went missing and was later found
dead in Lake Charles. Reportedly, the woman had been suffering from
mental illness and was claiming to be Sapp’s wife. He had been forced to
take out a restraining order against her.
Sapp’s post
reads: “IMPORTANT!!!! WOMEN PLEASE STOP SHOWING UP AT MY HOME!!! I
haven’t and won’t inbox you if I’m interested. I’m not communicating
with you via social media or through subliminal messaging.” It
continued, “I’m not in boxing you asking for any amounts of money for
anything. And to the woman that showed up today at 7:30am I have the
make, model and license plate of your automobile and have reported it to
the authorities.”
Although Sapp has over 2.2 million followers on Facebook, many of them women, they don’t appear to respect his need for privacy.
The
winner of two Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards in 2008 and
2010 for Best Gospel Artist and the single father of three children,
Marvin Jr., 17, Mikaila, 14 and Madisson, 12, is obviously hoping that
these persistent females get the message.
As the GMA
Dove Award for best contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for
his song “The Best In Me,” we hope that Mr. Sapp has no further problems
from unwanted admirers.
